EUGENE E. CEDERBAUM
Eugene E. Cederbaum is of counsel to the firm. He has practiced law in Westport for over 35 years.
Mr. Cederbaum's areas of practice include corporate formation and management, litigation before trial and appellate courts, municipal law, and both residential and commercial real estate transactions. He has frequently rendered opinions to municipal officials and appeared before state and local boards and commissions. He has worked successfully with state legislators to amend legislation.
During his more than 35 years as a Westport resident, Mr. Cederbaum has been active in community affairs. He has served as municipal counsel in Westport, Wilton and Easton, been elected to the Westport Representative Town Meeting and the Westport Boards of Education and the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education, Westport-Weston United Way, Westport Arts Center, Westport Historical Society, where he was also general counsel, and in the the Connecticut Bar Association House of Delegates. Mr. Cederbaum has also taught law as an adjunct professor at Norwalk Community College.
Mr. Cederbaum received his legal training at Columbia University School of Law and his bachelor's degree from New York University, where he studied economics and was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma. He served in the Army Judge Advocate General Corps, studying military law at the University of Virginia.
Mr. Cederbaum lives in Westport with his wife, Carol. They have two married children and recently became grandparents.
